BREAKING: Kwame Boahene is leaving Kotoko

The talented winger is leaving the Kumasi-based club following the expiration of his contract, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko are set to announce the departure of Kwame Boahene after a three-year stay at the club.
 
The 26-year-old has been refused of a new deal by the officials of the Porcupine Warriors despite contacting them for a fresh contract.
 
Kickgh.com understands that his three-year contract with Asante Kotoko will ran out in December.
 
He joined the two-time CAF Champions League champions in 2016 from fellow Premier League side Medeama SC.
 
The former Ghana U20 star spent three seasons at Medeama SC before joining Asante Kotoko prior to the start of the 2017/18 season around a transfer fee of Gh¢ 95,000.
 
Head Coach Kjetil Zachariassen left him out of his squad for the club's 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
 
Several clubs in the country have expressed interest in signing the ex-Liberty Professionals speedster on a free transfer.
 
He helped Asante Kotoko to clinched the 2017 MTN FA Cup after whipping their arch rivals Hearts of Oak in the final staged at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
 
Boahene was part of the Ghana U20 team that won silver at the 2013 Africa U20 Cup of Nations and bronze at the FIFA U20 World Cup held in Turkey.
