CAF CC: Daniel Darkwah sympathizes with Kotoko, urges them to forge ahead

Former defender for Asante Kotoko Daniel Darkwah has empathized with Asante Kotoko after their ignominious exit from this season's CAF Confederations Cup.

Darkwah, who now plays for Nigerian giants Enyimba FC, believes Asante Kotoko have what it takes to reinvigorate and come back strongly next season.
The Porcupine Warriors failed to make the mark in Abidjan against San Pedro succumbing to a one goal lead in Kumasi to lose by 2-1 on aggregate in Ivory Coast which meant they exited the competition with an hurdle left to have reached the group stages of the competition.
Daniel Darkwah scored over the weekend in the competition for Enyimba FC in their 2-1 victory which has booked the Aba-state side into the group stages and will be relishing to go farther than last season where they reached the semi finals.
"I am very saddened by the painful exit of my former club Asante Kotoko but in all things we should give thanks to God because he knows best," Darkwah told Light FM.
"It wasn't the results they were expecting although they tried their possible best but they should focus on the future and work hard to qualify again to participate in the competition next year," he added.
Asante Kotoko's exit means they fall behind the level they reached in the CAF Confederations Cup last season even after starting their Africa campaign in the Champions League.
