Kotoko to terminate Abass Mohammed's contract after 13 months

The Ghana Premier League heavyweights are set to announce the exit of the ex-Inter Allies left-back, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

Asante Kotoko have decided to terminate their contract with Abass Mohammed ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season.
The 25-year-old has been rejected by the club's technical team following his recent poor performance at the Kumasi-based club.
He failed to live up to expectation since arrival at the club in October last year.
Abass joined the 'Kum Apem' lads on a free transfer after unsuccessful stint in the American second-tier league with Penn FC.
He becomes the fifth player set to leave Asante Kotoko after Kwame Boahene, Jordan Opoku, Martin Antwi and Augustine Sefah.
Abass featured for the senior national team, the Black Stars, two years ago in an international friendly against Saudi Arabia.
