Matthew Cudjoe is ready for the big stage - Maxwell Konadu

The head coach of the Ghana Premier League giants believes that the Ghana U20 star is ready for the big stage.

Asante Kotoko Coach Maxwell Konadu has said that Matthew Anim Cudjoe has the personality to play in the Ghanaian top-flight league.

The 16-year-old arrived at the Porcupine Warriors from second-tier club Young Apostles FC on a season-long loan deal in December last year

He climbed off the bench to score as Asante Kotoko recorded a 2-0 home win over Ebusua Dwarfs.

"I think he is ready," he told reporters after the game.

"Brazil has been doing it, most of the countries have been doing it at even the world cup stage.

"I think when you see such a talent and you let it go, that won't be fair to Ghanaians," he added.

"With the talent he has, we need to encourage him and not to rush him but gradually he is picking so let's wait. We are not saying he is the one to change everything for Kotoko but with time but with time he can only get better."

Asante Kotoko will travel to the capital to face their arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the match-day six on Sunday
