MATCH REPORT: King Faisal 1 - 1 Elmina Sharks - Faisal quest to earn first victory put to bed by Sharks

The Insha Allah outfit quest to earn first maximum points in the ongoing league campaign has been dashed by the Sharks' lads following a stalemate in today's encounter

King Faisal FC failed to grab their first maximum three points at home following a 1-1 scoreline game against Elmina Sharks in matchday 6 of the Ghana Premier League.

Midfielder Emmanuel Maidawa fluffed a clear sitter on the 5th minute to put King Faisal into the lead having received a well-crossed ball from right-back Charles Adu Boateng inside the first-half of the encounter.

Kotoko on-loan forward Osman Ibrahim made some dazzling dribbles inside the 18-yard box of the visitors but saw his left-footed effort parried by the shot-stopper to deny the home  side the deserved lead.

Elmina Sharks dangerman Benjamin Tweneboah continued to be the tomentor-in-chief for the home side defense as he provided a lot of decisive passes to his frontlines but none was made to count having failed to utilize them in search of the opener.

Again, the dimunitive wideman of the Sharks' lads Benjamin wasted a clear scoring chance on the stroke of the half-time following a fine cross from fellow playing mate Benjamin Boateng. 

Prior to recess, King Faisal midfield enforcer Emmanuel Maidawa once again fluffed another clear chance to leave the encounter a goaless stalemate inside the first-half.

Back from break, it took forward Kwame Peprah to break the deadlock of the game on the 46th minute having received a through ball from Osman lbrahim to slot home the opener.

The lnsha Allah outfit squandered a lot of scoring chances for another goal in order to help them unsettle the visitors with a scoreline advantage during the game proceed.

Kotoko on-loan forward Osman Ibrahim saw his headed home effort parried by the Sharks shot-stopper on the 69th minute.

The visitors continued their search for the equalizer and only for Alhaji Mustapha to grab it on the 73rd minute through a powerful strike following a splendid through ball from a well build-up game.

The visitors equalizer restored some needed level of confidence in them as they made some dangerous moves in search for the winner but substitute Ocloo failed  to utilize the chance for the match killer with his effort strike wide off the post.

King Faisal yet again missed the match-winner efffort in the dying embers of the encounter after their last strike by forward Peprah was once again tamed by the visitors last line of defense. 

King Faisal will play lnter Allies for the next fixtures.
