His heroic performance helped his side to return to winning ways after losing to Liberty Professionals in their last weekend fixture at Sogakope.

DEFENDERS

LB- Ernest Danso (Liberty Professionals)

The four-man back line of the Scientific Soccer lads was solid and well composed. Danso didn't shirk his duties on the flanks as he went forward with quintessential ease to stage an intensified pressure on Asante Kotoko.

The young left-back's performance was unquestionable to earn him the man of the match award.

CB- Samed Ibrahim (Ashanti Gold)

The lanky defender returned to the Miners after failing to secure a move to Asante Kotoko with a fine performance to become a hero at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.

His lone strike handed Ashanti Gold SC all the needed points in their win over Ebusua Dwarfs in their match-day seven encounter.

After scoring, Samed continued his impressive performance in aiding Ashanti Gold to grab all the three maximum points at home to keep their hopes of winning the league title alive

CB- Simms Kwayie (Eleven Wonders)

The stalwart centre-back was kingpin in the four-man back line of Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu's side that held on Elmina Sharks to a one-draw at the Nduom Stadium on Saturday.

The Eleven Wonders skipper was superb and delight to watch with his standout display to prevent Raphael Ocloo, Benjamin Tweneboah and Alhaji Mustapha from scoring.

He nine tackles, five interceptions, three clearances and two blocked shots.

RB- Caleb Amankwah (Aduana Stars)

Aduana Stars extended their unbeaten home streak to four matches with a 1-0 win over Medeama via a free-kick scored by Yahaya Mohammed.

Amankwah stood out in the back line of the 'Ogya lads' with his sterling performance against Medeama SC at home. He was adjudged the man of the match after the game.

MIDFIELDERS

CM- Emmanuel Nettey (Hearts of Oak)

Since his arrival at the Rainbow club, he has been the boss in their midfielder as he dictates all their build ups in their last three matches.

Nettey earned applauds from the fans who witnessed the crunchy encounter at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu as he curtailed ad stopped the enforcers of Dreams FC from making a proper incursion in the game.

He assisted the lone goal scored by Kofi Kordzi which handed them all the three points to move the up to seventh position on the league log

CM- Emmanuel Gustav Addington (Elmina Sharks)

Elmina Sharks struggles at home continued as they were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Nduom Stadium.

AM- Gladson Awako (Great Olympics)

His side couldn't win their match-day seven clash with WAFA SC at home but his effort was never in doubt.

The experienced midfielder starred in the midfield of the 'Oly Dade' boys with some great moves and brilliant passes but their attackers could be found guilty for failing to register their names on the score sheet.
