STUNNING Pictures & Video of the 'Renovated' Baba Yara Sports Stadium

Renovation works on the Baba Yara Sports Stadium has started ahead of Ghana's 63rd Independence Anniversary Celebration.
The multi-purpose stadium was closed down by the National Sports Authority (NSA) last week for a major facelift.

Users of the edifice including two Ghana Premier League side King Faisal and Asante Kotoko were asked to look elsewhere for their activities.
 
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium is currently undergoing a major refurbishment for the first time after twelve years.
 
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium hasn't been renovated since 2008 when it hosted the Africa Cup of Nations.
 
The Stadium has hosted two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments — 2000 and 2008 — and FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
