Songne Yacouba joining Ashanti Gold Featured

The Miners lads are in pole position of announcing the capture of the Burkina Faso international, according to reports in the local media.
Ghana Premier League side Ashanti Gold SC are set to complete the signing of Asante Kotoko striker Songne Yacouba for their 2019/20 campaign.
Officials of the Obuasi based club are currently holding talks with the 28-year-old over a possible switch this month.
According to Light FM, Yacouba met the President of Ashanti Gold SC, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong last weekend to hold discussions for a potential move in the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
He will be joining Ashanti Gold SC on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Asante Kotoko.
Yacouba has been out of Asante Kotoko match-day squad after match-day eight following his decision not to renew his contract with the club.
He joined Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal after a successful trial at the club in 2018.
Yacouba rose to the fame to become the Asante Kotoko fans favorite during their 2018 CAF Confederation Cup campaign where he scored two goals with five assists.
His sterling output secured the club a place in the group stages of the competition where he was chased by several clubs including Nkana FC, Zesco United, Al Hilal and others.
Ashanti Gold SC have already signed two forms Ghana Premier League top scorers — Nana Poku and Hans Kwoffie — to strengthen their upfront who are struggling to score more goals in the ongoing season
