I nurtured Hearts of Oak top striker Daniel Afriyie — Kumawood actor Yaw Dabo

The Popular Ghanaian actor has revealed that he groomed the Hearts of Oak attacker who joined them prior to start of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.
 
 
Kumawood actor, Samuel Yaw Dabo has disclosed that he nurtured Daniel Afriyie Barnie in his football career from colts level.
 
The 18-year-old has been tipped to leave a mark in the Ghanaian top-flight league by most pundits following his exploits at the Rainbow club.
 
Afriyie Barnie has scored one goal in his 10 appearances for Hearts of Oak in his debut season.
 
"I manage many players and one of them is Hearts of Oak striker Daniel Afriyie Barnie. I grommed him from the colts level" Yaw Dabo said on Accra-based radio station Angel FM
 
"I have passion for football more than acting. I owned a colts football club but due to financial constraints I have put everything on hold"
 
"Very soon, I will outdoor a model football team named Yaw Dabo Football Club. I will use my own philosophy to develop the players and I promise Ghanaians, they will some wearing Black Stars jersey"
 
Afriyie Barnie joined Hearts of Oak from lower-tier club Madina Republicans in the last transfer window.
 
He shot to prominence when he gained a call up into Ghana U23 team to begin preparations ahead of the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
 
Barnie joined Burkina Faso top flight side Rahimo FC in January 2018 where helped the club win the league and secure qualification to the CAF Champions League.
