The outbreak of the novel COVID-19, which as of June 17 has killed more than 434,796 people globally, has affected sporting events across the world.

As the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide has surged past 6.7 million, major sporting events like football leagues were cancelled or postponed.
One cancerous problem that has resulted from the novel COVID-19 is pay cut- most teams have been hugely affected financially which have made them reduced the salaries of their players.
Nonetheless, one team which seems to be financially stable to pay their players without any pay cut is a Ghanaian Premier League side, Aduana Stars.
The former Premier League champions yesterday paid the month of May salary to its players without any reduction.
In an interview with Opemsuo Sports, General captain of the Dormaa based club,Emmanuel Akuoko said, "It is true that we have received the month of May salary. I received my notification yesterday."
"There was no pay cut from the salaries we have received so far...may the good Lord continue to bless our Life Patron Dr Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Nana Agyeman Badu II, Aduana Piesie" Akuoko gleefully added.
