The Founder of Division two club Thunder FC has shockingly revealed that Asante Kotoko defender Ibrahim Imoro relies on his teammates to survive in Kumasi.

President of Thunder FC, Alhaji Abdulai Nash has said that the former Ghana U20 left-back has been begging for food due to unpaid signing-on fee.

Alhaji Abdulai narrated the horrible situation of Ibrahim Imoro in an interview with Kumasi FM on Thursday morning.

According to him, the 20-year-old defender has not been paid by the Porcupine Warriors since his arrival at the club in December 2019.

Earlier this month, Alhaji Abdulai Nash threatened to drag Asante Kotoko to the world football governing body over the unpaid transfer fee of their former player Ibrahim Imoro.

"Many clubs wanted to sign Ibrahim Imoro but I decided to give him to Kotoko because it is the club I support," Alhaji Abdulai told Kumasi FM

"I was promised I will be paid the GHC 80,000 before the season ends but not a penny has been paid to me till now.

"My player, Imoro Ibrahim calls me everyday for money to buy food because his salaries and bonuses have not been paid."

"He has to resort to Habib Mohammed for food because of his affiliation with him."

"There are more revelations to the issue I wouldn’t want to address on live radio," he concluded.

Imoro joined Asante Kotoko on a four-year deal from Thunder FC in the last transfer window.

He has established himself as a key performer of Asante Kotoko since his arrival in December last year.

Imoro scored one goal in his 11 appearances for Asante Kotoko before the suspension of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
