Communication Director of Asante Kotoko, Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq. has spoken on the team’s preparations ahead of their upcoming Africa assignment and is calling on Ghanaians for their support on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors will host Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club in the first leg of the final qualifying round of the CAF Confederation Cup this weekend in what will be a very cagey encounter as they will need a convincing win to enhance their qualification chances
The team have left the city of Kumasi to Eastern Region to begin preparations towards the game and will head to the capital, Accra very soon as they look to have themselves adequately prepared for the epic clash coming up.
In an interview with Accra-based Peace FM, the renowned legal practitioner says the team after going through the plans put in place by the technical team will be ready for the WAC game and is calling on all Ghanaians to come and rally behind them as he strongly believes they will qualify when they get the support
“With the preparations the team traveled to Eastern region to start preparations today we will head to Greater Accra and continue our preparations. 21 players are in camp training all the things they should know about WAC the technical team will tell them. The nature of African games the technical team is teaching them everything what is left is the support from Ghanaians on Sunday they all come and support us to eliminate WAC.”
The ‘Kum Apem’ lads have already visited the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu for his blessings and have also donated to the Osu Children’s Home ahead of the game coming up.
The game is slated for Sunday, October 19, at the Ohene Gyan Stadium at 15:00GMT (3:00pm)
