Methodist Church League Kicked-off Successfully

The maiden edition of the Methodist Church League  (MCL) organized by the Methodist Church Ghana -Kumasi Diocese, under the supervision of Youth Ministries Directorate kicked off yesterday at the Wesley College of Education.
 
The program, which is being organized to gear towards soul-winning saw many dignitaries gracing the program to usher in its start.
 
The Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. Christopher Nyarko Andam, Very Rev Kofi Annan-Bennett (Diocesan Youth Organizer), Rev Ebenezer Kusi Appiah, Pastor Ben, Very Rev. Dr. Samuel Edubate Nketsia and many more were all there.
 
The Bishop of the Diocese, in his opening remarks encouraged the Youth Ministries Directorate to maintain the new way of winning more souls for God, and also promised to fully support the program to reach the best of height.
 
"The plan is absolutely brilliant especially when the love for football is highly increasing in our youth. We hope this program will draw more youth to God"
 
"Though the program is costly but since it is gearing towards winning souls for God there is no problem because that's  where we are to use the money of the church"
 
"The Directorate has done well and I will lead the crusade to let the ministers of the various societies to fully support financially"
 
The league started after a short kick-off ceremony by Rt. Rev Christopher Nyarko Andam, the Bishop of Kumasi as Asewasi battled out with New Tafo Circuit in the first match.

The rest of the groups will continue in two weeks time to see other Circuits within Kumasi Diocese also battling out to progress from the group stages .
