The 25-year-old forward much-talked-about transfer move to the Black and Whites outfit could hit a snag due to an issue involving his personal terms

Ghanaian international striker Bernard Mensah transfer move to Besiktas could collapse at the eleventh hour due to matters arising from his wage demands.

The former Atletico Madrid attacker has reportedly made up his mind to reject an entitlement of 500,000.00 euros wage annually from the Turkish giants as he believes that he is worth more than the aforementioned amount.

Report from the Turkish media has it that Mensah's wage demand coupled with his asking price tag from Kayserispor is currently serving as an impediment for Besiktas as they seek to secure his signature this summer.

The report further stated that his former LaLiga parent club Atletico Madrid are to benefit from an onward transfer fee from Kayserispor and that could skyrocket the signing fee of the Ghanaian forward to any suitor vying for his services this summer.

Kayserispor president Berna Gozbasi confirmed in a recent interview that Besiktas have made an official approach for the services of their prized asset even though no bid was tabled before them during the negotiations.

Mensah has so far made 54 offficial match appearances for Kayserispor having plundered 9 goals and 9 assists since joining them in 2019.

His current market value is being pegged at €2.4m per transfermarket.

The former Kasimpasa loanee goal poacher still has a running contract with the Kadir Has Stadium outfit until June 2022.

Mensah, groomed at Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy - now Wafa - has capped 4 times for Ghana with a goal to his credit.
