The English Premier League giants have reportedly ended their interest in landing the Black Stars midfielder this summer.

Arsenal have informed Atletico Madrid that the club can't pay Thomas Partey's release clause of €50 for his acquisition in the ongoing summer transfer window.

According to Madrid based journalist David Vinuesa Malbac, the English side has told the Spanish La Liga outfit that they won’t pay the €50m buy-out clause for the Ghana international.

Ghanaian Journalist Saddick Adams also reported that Arsenal offered 25 million euros plus a player to secure the service of the 27-year-old combative midfielder from the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium outfit.

But reports from Spain indicated that Atletico Madrid has rejected the offer from the English club as they affirm Partey's €50m buy-out clause.

Kickgh.com understands that Atletico Madrid have already started talks on renewing the contract of the Ghanaian international

Los Rojiblancos are  negotiating a new contract with the player through to summer 2025.

The midfielder’s current deal in the Spanish capital runs through to 2023, but this extension would double his salary and also double his release clause to €100m.

Partey has made 185 first-team appearances with sixteen goals and twelve assists for Diego Simeone’s side
– 46 of which have arrived this season – and the club are now keen to extend his deal in the Spanish capital.

He has represent Ghana at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, scoring ten goals in 27 appearaces for the Black Stars.
