Fortuna Dusseldorf part ways with Ghana's Bernard Tekpetey Featured

The Relegated Bundesliga club have announced the departure of the Ghanaian international to his parent club.
Fortuna Dusseldorf have officially terminated their loan deal with Bernard Tekpetey after his decision not to stay at the club after the 2019/20 season.
Earlier this week, The 22-year-old was exempted from the squad of the Dusseldorf based club following his decision to end his loan stint after suffering relegation to the Bundesliga II.
He had a year left on his loan spell at Fortuna Dusseldorf after joining them from Schalke 04 last summer.
The club's official statement reads ''Bernard Tekpetey's transfer is on the home straight.
"In order to clarify the last details, Fortuna Düsseldorf has released the player for today's Thursday. 
Tekpetey made only 10 appearances in all competitions for Fortuna Dusseldorf in his debut season.
Tekpetey had a tremendous loan spell at SC Paderborn in the Bundesliga II where he played an instrumental role in their qualification to 2019/20 German top-flight season after netting eleven goals with seven assists in 36 game outings.
But he was recalled by his mother club, Schalke 04 and was farmed out to Fortuna Dusseldorf for a two-year loan deal.
He has capped two times for the senior national team of Ghana after earning a call-up to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
