Black Stars striker Kwasi Okyere scores on Willem ll debut

Ghana striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt registered his first-ever goal for Willem ll in the Dutch Eredivisie Comeback tournament on Friday evening.


Willem ll came from behind to beat VVV Venlo in their match-day one in the Dutch Eredivisie Comeback tournament at the Willem II Stadion.

The visitors opened the score through Evert Linthorst on the 10th minute to end the first half in a 1-0 lead.
Ten minutes after the break, the 26-year-old levelled the score for the home side with a spectacular finish.
His teammate Mike Ndayishimiye got the match-winner for Willem ll on the 62nd minute of the match.
Okyere Wriedt was in action with his compatriots Leeroy Owusu and Derrick Arthur Köhn for Willem ll
He joined the Dutch top-flight club on a free transfer after ending his stay with German Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich this summer.
Okyere Wriedt earned his debut call-up to the senior national team of Ghana under Coach Kwesi Appiah in 2018.
He has capped two times for the Black Stars of Ghana so far.
