The forward is set to spent the next ten days in the treatment room after picking up an injury in their match opener at the Medical Park over the weekend

Ghana and Trabzonspor striker Caleb Ekuban will be out of action for ten days as a result of a groin injury.

The 26-year-old underwent an MRI scan test yesterday and the outcome has now proven that he will need the aforementioned days to recuperate fully for the just-started league campaign.

The former Leeds United forward suffered the injury blow during his side's 1-3 home defeat to Besiktas last Sunday.

A statement from Trabzonspor over the outcome of Ekuban's MRI scan test reads;

" As a result of the examination and MRI examinations of our football player, who was injured and taken from the game as a result of a blow to his right hip during the Beşiktaş match, bleeding was detected in the outer rotator muscle of the thigh and treatment was started."

His injury setback will now serve as a major blow for manager Eddie Newton as he is his main man upfront in the ongoing Turkish top-flight campaign.

Ekuban has been capped four times by Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars with two goals to his credit.
