The 24-year-old defender of Ghanaian descent has sealed a deal with the German third division club for the next two football seasons in the ongoing transfer window

Bundesliga 3 side FSV Zwickau have announced the signing of Ghanaian centre-back Steffen Nkansah on a two-year deal.

The former TSG Hoffeinhem guardsman joins the Stadion Zwickau outfit as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with fellow lower division side Eintracht Braunschweig this season.

Sporting Director Toni Wachsmuth spoke highly of the talented 24-year-old stopper as he exudes confidence over his capture this term for the just-started League campaign.

''With Steffen Nkansah we have signed a trained central defender who was a regular in Braunschweig last season and who was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Eintracht. Steffen has very good athleticism and shows a good physical presence, which will certainly do us good, ” Toni Wachsmuth told the Club's Official website.

Nkansah made 23 league appearances for Eintracht Braunschweig during the 2019/20 league campaign and has scored 2 goals.

He is still eligible to play for Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars despite featuring for the Germany youth teams.
