OFFICIAL: Ghana's Claud Adjapong seals US Lecce loan deal Featured

The 22-year-old lateral defender of Ghanaian descent has sealed a year loan deal with the Stadio Via del Mare outfit in the ongoing transfer window

Serie B side US Lecce has announced the signing of Ghanaian right-back Claud Adjapong on a season-long loan deal from US Sassuolo and has the option to make the deal permanent should he impress at the end of the 2020/21 football season.

The former Hellas Verona loanee lateral stopper passed his mandatory medical today before signing on the dotted lines for the lower division side after given a clean bill of medical health by their team medics.

US Lecce announced the signing of the talented defender via their Official Club's website.

"US Lecce announces that it has acquired, on a temporary basis with the right of option, the right to the sports services of the footballer Claud Adjapong from US Sassuolo Calcio. The defender born in 1998, who has already undergone medical examinations, trained this afternoon under the orders of Mr. Corini."

 Adjapong's contract with the Marpei Stadium outfit will expire in June 2023 and his market value has been pegged at €2.70m as per transfermarket.

The Modena-born defender is still eligible to play for Ghana at the international stage despite featuring for the ltaly national youth teams.
