Bayern Munich eye move for Ghana's Tariq Lamptey Featured

The budding talented full-back has courted interest from the reigning UEFA Champions League winners, according to reports in Germany.


German Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich have expressed interest in signing Tariq Lamptey from Brighton and Hove Albion  in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old has emerged as a top transfer target for the Bavarian lads following his explosive performance in the English Premier League with the Falmer Stadium outfit.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are hoping to secure the young right-back this summer on a transfer fee of €15m despite his club's asking price of €25m.
He is currently rated as one of the best young right-backs in the world following his incredible performance at Brighton and Hove Albion in his debut season.
He joined Brighton from fellow Premiership side Chelsea earlier this year.
Lamptey spent some time with Chelsea’s youth sides after joining the Club at age 8, eventually gaining promotion to the senior team and made his professional footballing debut away against Arsenal in the Premier League.
However, Chelsea could not guarantee him regular first team action, forcing him to switch to Brighton & Hove Albion on a permanent basis.
He was born to Ghanaian parents and still eligible to represent Ghana despite playing for England at the U18,U19 and U20 level
