The 19-year-old sharpshooter landed in South Africa on Friday to complete his switch to the PSL side, but will first have to prove his mettle in his assessment before he could put pen to paper for the Bakgakga

South Africa Premier Soccer League side Baroka FC Chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has said Ghanaian budding striker Richmond Antwi is still under observation as they look forward to securing his services this summer.

Having parted ways with Sudanese Premier League side Al-Merrikh, the former Al Khartoum Watani goal poacher is set to continue his football trade with the Ga-Mphahlele based club in the PSL should he live up to his billings during his assessment session next week.

As he is yet to kick starts his trals, the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium outfit has indicated that they will not be in a rush to sign him until he met their standard with regards to his talent.

"It's true he is here but we are still looking at him," an excited Mphahlele tells KickOff.com. "We are still looking at him. We will see if what they say about him is true or what."

Asked how they knew about the youngster, Mphahlele says: "We've got connections Baba, we are connected.

"He arrived on Friday. The club that he was playing for are the league champions of Sudan. He scored a lot of goals there. We are just going to check him nicely.

"We are in no rush to sign him, we've got experience in this football now. We are going to satisfy ourselves first. He hasn't started training yet, he will start training next week."

The 19-year-old is expected to sign a three-year deal with the Yellow and Green lads if he pass his trials.

The teenager was top scorer of the Sudanese Premier League in 2018/2019 where he netted 19 goals for Al Khartoum Al Watani.

He joined Al Merreikh halfway in the 2019/2020 season scoring 7 goals in 13 matches to help them clinch the Sudan Premiership title.
