English Premier League side Crystal Palace will continue their 2020/21 season's campaign without Jeffrey Schlupp for at least three months after he sustained a serious hamstring injury in Saturday’s Premier League win over Sheffield United.

The midfielder scored the hosts’ opener at Selhurst Park, his second goal of the season, but limped from the fray five minutes before half-time to be replaced by Eberechi Eze.

The Palace manager, Roy Hodgson, suggested post-match that the 28-year-old had “felt a hamstring pull” though scans on the injury undertaken earlier this week have revealed the damage to be more significant.
Schlupp, a £12 million signing from Leicester City four years ago, spent a similarly lengthy period of last season in rehabilitation after suffering a hip injury in a game at Watford in December 2019.
He will now start treatment in the hope of returning to contention in March.
