Scottish Premiership outfit St Mirren FC have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian striker Collin Quaner on a six-month deal until the end of the 2020/21 football season.
The former Fortuna Dusseldorf youth srar joins the Saints on a free transfer after ending his spell with English championship side Huddersfield Town during the 2018/19 season.
Reacting to the signing of the towering striker, manager Jim Goodwin expressed his happiness over the capturing of the former lpswich loanee marksman as he looks forward to working with him in the Scottish top-flight.
"Collin is a striker who has played at a high level in Germany with Union Berlin. Huddersfield bought him from there and he played a number of games in the English Premier League.
"He comes with a real good pedigree and we’re really excited to see about what Collin can bring to the team.
"He’s six foot three, a really good athlete with a great turn of pace. He’s been training with Schalke for the last couple of months and he’s been looking after himself. We’re very lucky to get him."
Quaner is still eligible to play for Ghana at the international stage despite featuring for the German U20 national youth team.
