The talented forward has completed his switch to the Swiss Super League side in the ongoing winter transfer window.

Ghanaian attacker Asumah Abubakar has officially joined Swiss top-flight league club FC Lugano from SC Kriens until summer 2023.

The 23-year-old has joined the Black and White lads on a three-year deal with a year of extension after an explosive performance in the Swiss second-tier league
Asumah Abubakar scored 22 goals and provided ten assists in his 47 game outings for SC Kriens in all competitions.
The Kumasi-born joined SC Kriens on a free transfer after ending his stint with Dutch club MVV Maastricht.
Asumah is still eligible to represent Ghana despite playing for the Portugal U19 side in the 2016  UEFA U19 Championship.
He was withdrawn from the 2016 UEFA U19 Championship by Portugal after making two appearances over eligibility concerns.
The decision to withdraw the talented Ghanaian player is over concerns that he might not have satisfied the mandatory two-year continuous Portugal residency requirement that makes him eligible for their passport.

He was born in Kumasi to Ghanaian parents and played for youth side Corners Babies before leaving the shores of Ghana to Portugal to persue his football career
