The 32-year-old versatile midfielder is on the verge of reuniting with his former employers in the ltalian top-flight as they lead the pack for his chase in this January transfer window

Serie A side Udinese Calcio are set to re-sign Ghana international midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah in the ongoing winter transfer window, according to reports from the Italian press.

After leaving the fold of the Bianconeri in 2012 to join Juventus, the talented left-footed midfielder could soon reunite with the Stadio Friuli outfit as talk of negotiations between both parties has reached its advanced level.

A report filed by Italian Newspaper Tuttosport has indicated that Udinese Calcio are closing in on their former playmaker as manager Luca Gotti is keen to bolster his midfield options with his acquisition this winter.

It is understood that Genoa C.F.C are also believed to be in the running for the signature of the 32-year-old nimble left-footed midfielder given his current transfer status.

Asamoah terminated his contract with lnter Milan this summer following his injury plights throughtout his stay with them in the Italian top-fligt. 

He has been capped seventy-four times by Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars with four goals to his name.
