The 27-year-old midfield enforcer is set to undergo health assessment at the Cagliari-based club tomorrow as he is nearing completion of his loan switch to the Gli Isolani in this January transfer window

Ghana international midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan will undertake his medicals with Cagliari Calcio tomorrow (Friday) after which he would seal a loan deal with them if given a clean bill of health by the team medics.

It is believed that manager Eusebio Di Francesco wants to reunite with his former combative left-footed midfielder at the Sardegna Arena after spending time together at US Sassuolo in the Italian top-flight.

Reports from the Italian press have indicated that Cagliari have agreed a deal with ACF Fiorentina over the loan services of the former Ghana U20 star and would have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the league season this term.

Aside Cagliari Calcio,  Hellas Verona and Genoa C.F.C were also in the running for the signature of the former Inter Milan youth product in this winter transfer window.

Duncan has so far featured in 4 league games for the Stadio Artemio Franchi outfit in this term's Serie A league campaign.

The Accra-born midfielder has been capped 9 times by Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars.
