The 2019 WAFU top scorer has reportedly completed a move to the Iraqi Premier League side on a free transfer.
Ghanaian striker Shafiu Mumuni has joined Erbil SC in Iraq on a free transfer after a fruitful negotiations.
The 25-year-old has joined the Yellow Castle lads on a one-year deal after reaching an agreement with the club to be part of their project.
Mumuni has been unattached since January after his contract with Tunisian club US Monastir was abrogated after four months.
He managed to score only one goal and provided one assist in his 7 game outings for US Monastir in all competitions.
Mumuni rose to prominence at the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations in Senegal, where he hit the first ever hat-trick against Cote d’Ivoire in the semi-finals and netted four times to finish as the tournament's top scorer.
He was once a top transfer target for Asante Kotoko during his days at AshantiGold but opted to seek for greener pastures in North Africa.
