The former Berekum Chelsea defender has been ruled out for several months due to a knee injury.
Spanish Segunda B Division side San Fernando CD have been dealt a massive blow with Zakaria Fuseini ruled out of the rest of the 2020/21 season.
The 23-year-old has been ruled out of action by the medical team San Fernando CD for six to eight months after surgery on his damage right knee earlier this week.
The club's official statement reads "San Fernando CD loses Zakaria Fuseini for the remainder of the season. During the last training session of last week the footballer Zakaria Fuseini suffered discomfort in his right knee."
"After the pertinent medical tests, the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus has been confirmed, which will keep him away from the playing fields for between 6 and 8 months."
"Given the estimated recovery time, the Ghanaian footballer concludes the season with the Azulino team. From the club we send you all our strength and support, wishing you a speedy and effective recovery."
Fuseini joined the Spanish club on a season-long loan deal from Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea in October last year.
He was a member of the Ghana U23 team that placed fourth position at the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations staged in Egypt.
