INTERVIEW: Benjamin Acquah speaks on dream move to Helsingborgs IF, football in Ghana & more Featured

The exciting midfielder has opened up on his football career in Ghana after completing a move to Swedish Superettan club Helsingborgs IF.

 
 

Ghanaian young enforcer Benjamin Arthur is on cloud nine after completing a season-long loan switch to Helsingborgs IF from Ghana Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs today.

 
The 20-year-old move to the Swedish outfit delayed following the Coronavirus restrictions in the Scandinavian country since February.
 
Acquah in an interview with the club's official website, he disclosed his ambition of aiding Helsingborgs IF to gain promotion to the Swedish top-flight league next season.
 
He is hopeful of emulating the success achieved by ex-Ghana international Mohammed Abubakari who helped them to secure Allsvenskan promotion in 2019. 
 
Acquah is one of the highly-rated central midfielders in the local scene, with Ebusua Dwarfs in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, scoring five goals in 16 matches and win five man of the match awards 
 
Acquah is a product of the Red Bull Academy in Ghana and had received an offer from Belgian top-flight side KAA Gent in September 2020.
 
Following his blistering performance in the Ghanaian top-flight league, Acquah was included in the Black Stars call-up for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications against South Africa and Sao Tome.
