OFFICIAL: Ghana's Fassbender Morgan joins SV Meppen Featured

The 22-year-old talented winger of Ghanaian descent has joined the German third division side until the next two football seasons in the ongoing summer transfer window

Bundesliga 3 side SV Meppen have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian winger Fassbender Morgan on a two-year deal from fourth division side BSG Chemie Leipzig.

The talented widesman joins the Meppen-based club on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with the Regionalliga Nordost side in the just ended league campaign.

Right after putting pen to paper on the deal for the SVM, the 22-year-old expressed his elation over his transfer move to the Hansch-Arena outfit as he looks forward to having a fine season in the German lower-tier division contest in front of his club's fans next term.

"I am very grateful that I have the chance to take my next step here in Meppen. I'm really looking forward to the fans in the Hänsch Arena and will use my qualities to help us achieve our goals with the team," Morgan told the club's official website

Club's Sporting director Heiner Bechkmann as well as manager Rico Schmitt both spoke highly of the promising flanksman as they were left touting his talent following his capture.

"We had been keeping an eye on Morgan for a long time. I am sure that he will develop a lot of speed and goal danger on the right wing," Beckmann said to the same club's forum whiles Schmitt added: "It's great that we were able to get Morgan excited about us. He's a very talented player. Morgan will bring his speed and dynamism to the team."

Morgan has this term scored 4 and provided 2 assists in 12 league games for BSG Chemie Leipzig in the Regionalliga Nordost league season.

The Stuttgart-born is still eligible to play for Ghana at the international stage as he is yet to be capped by Germany at the senior national team level.
