Emmanuel Toku: Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv snap up Ghana kid Featured

Ghana internantional Emmanual Toku has made a transfer to Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv.

The midfielder completed his switch on Thursday, signing a three-year deal from Danish second-tier outfit BK Fremad Amager.


He was on the books of the Plovdiv-based side last season where he played on loan.


"Botev (Plovdiv) bought 100% of the rights of Emanuel Toku from Fremad Amager. Until now, the midfielder played in the "yellow-black," Botev announced on their official portal.


"The Canaries will pay a fixed transfer fee to the Danish club for one of the most important players in the selection of Azrudin Valentic.


"Immediately after the agreement between the two clubs, Botev signed a new contract with Toku. The new contract of the football player is until the summer of 2024.


Toku has made six league appearances for the oldest active football club in the Southeast European country, scoring two goals in the ongoing season.

Toku is yet to play for the Black Stars, having played for both the Black Starlets and Satellites.
