Coach Veljko Paunović handed the 27-year-old Ghanaian defender his first outing for the English Championship outfit in their 3-3 draw against Queens Park Rangers.

The Swashbuckling marksman played full throttle and was outstanding in his first appearance for the Berkshire-based side on Saturday.

Baba teamed up with Reading from Premier League side Chelsea on a season long loan deal but was made to wait for his maiden outing.

His debut for the Royals was, however delayed when he joined the Ghana national team, the Black Stars for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Midfielder John Swift scored all three goals for Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium (formally the Madejski Stadium).

Michael Morrison netted an own goal at the 11th minute and Andre Gray and Stefan Johansen saw the The Hoops draw level.

Baba’s fellow compatriot Andy Yiadom lasted full duration of the match for Reading while Albert Adomah played for QPR.
