Ghanaian teenage sensation Godsway Donyoh has won the Israeli Toto Cup with Maccabi Haifa.

Donyoh was named in Coach Barak Bakhar’s squad for the crucial encounter against Hapoel Beer-Sheva at the Netanya Stadium.

He was substituted in the 60th minute by Dean David.

Hapoel Beer-Sheva drew first blood after Mariano Bareiro scored at the stroke of half time.

But the Green Locomotives fought back and with five minutes left super-sub Dean David equalized.

The match was forced into extra time and ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

Experience Maccabi Haifa safest pair-of-hands Roei Mashpati was the hero after saving the deciding penalty as they won 7-6.

The trophy is Donyoh’s second major title since joining the club from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in 2020.
