Young Ghanaian goalkeeper David Akologo made his league debut for Bolivian top-flight side Club Aurora in their 2-1 defeat against Real Tomayapo in the División de Fútbol Profesional on Sunday.

Akologo joined the El equipo del pueblo (People's team) on a two-year contract in July this year for the 2021/22 league season.

The former Ghana youth international replaced first choice goalkeeper German Montoya in the 37th minute due to an injury he sustained.

Akologo, 24, played for Madina-based second division side Mobile Phone Peoples and second tier side Tudu Mighty Jets before moving abroad.

He had a short stint with Lomas Atlantic in Argentina, Auraco Prado and Cochabamba in the Bolivian Championship.
