Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru scores in Anderlecht’s win in Belgium Jupiler Pro League Featured

Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru found the back of the net for Anderlecht who recorded a thumping 4-2 victory over Beerschot in the Belgian top-tier on Sunday.

The 24-year-old came off the bench to replace Kristoffer Olsson in the 75th minute and netted his first goal of the season in the Jupiler Pro league at the Lotto Park.

 

Sergio Gómez converted a spot-kick just before halftime as Lawrence Shankland scored an own goal after an intense pressure by Anderlecht in the 54th minute.

 

Defender, Joren Dom’s goal in the 81st minute for Beerschot did not yield anything for them to stage a swift comeback.

 

Ivorian player Christian Kouamé and Majeed Ashimeru sealed the win for the Purple and Whites.

 

The West African Football Academy product has so far featured twelve times for Anderlecht and has got one goal to his name.
