The former Black Stars midfielder has sealed a loan switch to the Danish Super Liga outfit until the end of the season.

Swedish giants AIK have farmed out Ghanaian midfielder Ebenezer Ofori to Danish top-tier club Vejle BK for the next six months in the ongoing winter transfer window.

The 26-year-old has joined the Red and White lads on a six-month loan deal with an option to make his deal permanent.

The club's official statement reads “Vejle Boldklub has signed a lease agreement with the Ghanaian midfielder Ebenezer Ofori, who has been picked up by the Swedish top club AIK Stockholm. The rental agreement is valid for the entire spring season."

Ofori returned to the Swedish club AIK from Major League Soccer side New York City FC on a four-year deal in 2020.

“I was presented with an ambitious project that fits with my own ambitions. At the same time, I have heard incredibly well about Vejle Boldklub, the setting here and the club's fans from Alexander Milosevic, who despite his short time in Vejle sold the club well to me," Ofori told the club's official website after completing the loan move.

“It's a choice that's about me showing that I can become a key player here and help the club survive. That's all I'm aiming for. I'm a player who gives everything every single match and I hope the spectators notice that. Now we have to prepare for the task that awaits in the spring, and I am happy to be here in Vejle”

He previously had stint with VfB Stuttgart before leaving Europe for America in 2017 after the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations to play for New York City FC.

He will wear jersey no.15 at Vejle BK

Ofori has capped nine times for the senior national team of Ghana with a goal to his credit.
