Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin made his debut for Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish La Liga Santander against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday evening.

Athletic Bilbao came from behind to record a 3-2 home win over Rayo Vallecano in their match-week six encounter at the San Mames Stadium.

Rayo Vallecano opened the score through Oscar Trejo on the 5th minute before Williams restored the parity after just nine minutes of conceding.
Williams, 28, levelled the score for Athletic Bilbao on the 14th minute after slotting in a strike past Stole Dimitrievski before Oihan Sancet and Nico Williams extended the lead to 3-1 with their goals on the 28th and 33rd minute respectively.
A second half strike from Ramadel Falcao wasn't enough to secure a point for Rayo Vallecano as the game ended in a 3-2 win for Athletic Bilbao.
Mumin was introduced on the 79th minute as replacement for French centre-back Florian Lejeune.
The 24-year-old joined Rayo Vallecano from Portuguese top-tier club Vitoria Guimaraes for a fee around the region of €1.5 million.
Abdul Mumin was part of the Black Stars team at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon earlier this year.
He also among the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup final play-off games against Nigeria but he is yet to make his debut for Ghana
