The English Championship side have expressed interest in signing the 18-year-old attacker, can exclusively reveal.
Norwegian-based Ghana youth attacker Abdul-Basit Agouda has emerged as a top winter transfer target for Leeds United.
Agouda is regarded as one of the best young talents in Scandinavia after impressing for Stromgodset in the last two seasons.
He came close to joining Brighton and Hove Albion last summer after impressing on trial at then-Championship club, but the two clubs couldn’t agree a fee for his services.
Leeds United already have Ghanaian attacker Caleb Ekuban in their folds.
The young attacker joined Stromgodset from Skeid in January 2015 on two-year deal.
His contract with the Norwegian giants will expire at the end of the season and he has rejected two contract extension offers from Stromgodset meaning interested clubs can land the player for a minimal compensation fee.
Basit is eligible to play for Ghana in future despite featuring for the Norwegian youth side.
