Kwadwo Asamoah reveals why he left Juventus

Kwadwo Asamoah reveals “there was a chance to stay” at Juventus, but “the directors and the Coach convinced me” to move to Inter.

The Ghanaian international has signed for the Nerazzurri on a free transfer, and today he was presented to the media at Appiano Gentile.

“I feel at home, I’m happy to be here,” Asamoah said.

“There was the chance to remain there [at Juve], but I chose this shirt along with my family. I’m happy to have this new experience and do important things.

“My decision to leave Juventus was difficult but the directors and the Coach [Luciano Spalletti] convinced me.

“I’m convinced by what the team is doing, and I think for my career I can improve here.

“I know the rivalry between Juventus and Inter, but I chose this shirt, it doesn’t bother me. I'm here to do my best.”

Asamoah will face the Bianconeri in the coming season, and Cristiano Ronaldo may well be lining up on the other side.

“I’m not even thinking about it, I'm here to play, work and help my team. I’m not thinking about playing against any player or any team.

“To do well you can’t just think about a player or an opponent, you have to consider everyone.”
