Bernard Mensah receives Black Stars call-up after three-year absence

In-form Kayserispor midfielder Bernard Mensah has returned to the senior national team of Ghana ahead their clash with Sierra Leone after a three-year absence.
 
Ghana will face Sierra Leone in the third round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on October 11.
 
The 23-year-old was included in the 23-man squad released by Coach Kwesi Appiah on Sunday evening.
 
The Atletico Madrid starlet has been impressive in the Turkish Super Lig having stints with Kasimpasa and Kayserispor.
 
He joined Kayserispor on a season-long loan deal from Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid during the summer transfer window.
 
He has made seven appearances for the Turkish side with a goal to his credit.
 
Mensah made his last appearance for Ghana in October 2015 when he featured in the friendly against Canada played the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington
