Defender Baba Abdul Rahman watched his side pipping Locomotiv Moscow in Russia from the bench.
 
PSG 6-1 Red Star Belgrade
 
Ghana duo Rashid Sumaila and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom were not part of the Red Star Belgrade that travel to France.
Boakye was left out due to illness as Sumaila finds it difficult to earn regular playing time since joining them this summer.
 
Atletico Madrid 3-1 Club Brugge 
 
Midfielder Thomas Teye Partey lasted for 63 minutes for Atletico Madrid in their win over the Belgian side. He was replaced by Angel Correa.
 
PSV 1-2 Inter Milan
 
The Italian side continued their unbeaten run in the competition as they whipped PSV at home. Ghana's Kwadwo Asamoah enjoyed the entire duration of the match.
Asamoah was booked on the 86th minute.
 
EUROPA LEAGUE
 
Anderlecht 0-2 Dinamo Zagreb 
 
Youngster Francis Amuzu enjoyed the full duration of the match for the losers but his compatriots Dauda Mohammed, Emmanuel Adjei-Sowah and Dennis Appiah were left out.
 
Vorskla Poltava 1-2 Sporting CP
 
Former Ghana U17 defender Vorskla Poltava was not included in the losers squad for the match-day as well as Black Stars defender Lumor Agbenyenu who failed to make the trip with Sporting CP.
 
Spartak Moscow 3-3 Villarreal
 
2017 WAFU gold medalist Emmanuel Lomotey was not part of the Villarreal team that held Spartak Moscow to a 3-3 stalemate.
 
Chelsea 1-0 Vidi FC
 
Welsh-born of Ghanaian descent Ethan Kwame Ampadu warmed the bench for Chelsea as his mate Callum Hudson-Odoi missed Sarri's squad for the game at Stamford Bridge.
 
Sarpsborg 08 3-1 KRC Genk
 
Ghanaian winger Joseph Painstil was introduced into the game on the 46th minute but former Inter Allies defender Joseph Aidoo wasn't in the squad for Genk.
