Chelsea ask Bayern Munich to pay £40m for Ghanaian youngster Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea have told Bayern Munich that they want close to £40m for Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to Sky Sports.

The German club have reportedly failed in two bids for Hudson-Odoi, with an offer of over £20m the latest to be knocked back.

Hudson-Odoi has never started a Premier League game, featuring as a sub three times for a total of 69 minutes.

The 18-year-old has started and scored in the Europa League but remains on the fringes of Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

His contract expires in 18 months so Chelsea may be tempted to cash in on his following in Germany, where Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have also been linked.

He is the son of former Hearts of Oak player Bismark Odoi.

Hudson-Odoi is still eligible to represent Ghana despite featuring for England youth sides.
