The Italian-born Ghana forward has said he was on cloud nine after scoring on his debut for the West African country.

Black Stars striker Club Ekuban has expressed his delight after registering his name on the score sheet for Ghana in his first match.

The 24-year-old propelled Coach Kwesi Appiah's side to victory against Kenya at the Accra Sports Stadium with his fine strike on the 82nd minute.

"It's quite amazing," Ekuban told reporters

"The first thing, as a striker, you want to do is to score so when you get the opportunity and you score it feels like it is not even real. I am really happy,”

He has netted four in his 21 appearances for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig so far this season.

Ekuban joined Trabzonspor on a season long deal from English Championship club Leeds United.
