Christian Atsu returns from injury; could be available for Tottenham clash

The English Premier League side have been handed a major boost following the injury return of the Ghana international.

Ghana winger Christian Atsu has resumed training with Newcastle United after sustaining a hamstring injury during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 27-year-old has been out of action following the injury he picked during Ghana's game with Cameroon at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

He was flown to England for further assessment by the Newcastle United few days after suffering the injury at the tournament.

His return to the Magpies will be a major boost for them after losing their first two games in the 2019/20 English Premier League season.

He trained with his teammates at the St. James Park outfit on Wednesday.

Atsu could feature in their next match against Tottenham Hotspur this week.
