BREAKING: Latif Blessing reported to Ghana FA for cheating agent; asked to cough up over $66,000

The Los Angeles FC winger has been dragged to the Ghana Football Association by agent over breach of contract, can exclusively report.

American based football agent Simone Ghirlanda has petitioned the Ghana FA over a breach of contract by Latif Atta Blessing.
The 22-year-old has been accused of cheating the agent who facilitated his move from the Ghana Premier League to the Major League Soccer (MLS).
In a letter sighted by stated that Mr. Simone Ghirlanda is demanding an amount of $66,000 plus commission should the 2023 to 2024 option in his current contract with Los Angeles FC exercised.
Background of the case
In December 2016, Simone Ghirlanda approached Latif Blessing who was playing for Liberty Professionals in Ghana and asked him if he had interest in being presented to teams in MLS through an exclusive “MLS mandate”
Blessing agreed to sign a mandate with the American based football agent with 6% of his gross salary for the entire length of the contract.
He signed the mandate, along with the MLS contract from  Sporting Kansas City with details (3 year guaranteed + 1-year option for season 2020) with Simone Ghirlanda as the Authorized Agent and recipient of agency fees for season 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 (option year) transfer agreement ($250,000) and unilateral option acknowledgment for season 2020.
The ex-Liberty Professionals talisman was later sued by a UK based agent called Luke Hughes for joining the MLS club without his consent.
The case was settled by Simone Ghirlanda to avoid a FIFA ban on the 22-year-old and later secured him a mouthwatering deal with global leading sportswear manufacturing company Adidas.
After a season stay with Sporting Kansas City, Latif Blessing was traded to Los Angeles FC in December 2017 under the MLS expansion draft.
Blessing decided to leave the camp of Simone Ghirlanda illegally to sign another exclusive mandate with Swedish based agent called Jimmy Hermez of MVP Group Management after the switch to Los Angeles based outfit.
The budding talented winger had an option of renewal in his contract with Los Angeles FC which was exercised this year without the knowledge of his intermediary and has refused to pay the American agent his commission of the fee around $1.1 million.
"I am formally requesting to be compensated per our original mandate at 6% of the figures below, for the work I have done to bring Latif Blessing into MLS before and after his arrival (tax filing, relocation assistance, sponsorship negotiation, settlement with previous agent, continuous marketing of the player, and assistance with just about any matter)." Simone Ghirlanda said in a letter to the Ghana FA sighted by
"I went far and beyond what is expected of an intermediary and he acknowledged this publicly multiple times on social media until he decided to deceive me once I helped him reach a settlement with former agent Luke Hughes"
"Our mutual agreement from the start was to both participate in the upside of his success in MLS which would come in the form of an extension occurring during the contract by me negotiated, and during my representation agreement with him, which has not been the case due to his breach of performance of the mandate (not signing and not even attempting to reach a representation agreement while I performed on all and more of the services expected by my position as his intermediaryrepresentative) and breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing."
