Asamoah Gyan scores third goal for NorthEast United on injury return

Ghana international Asamoah registered his third goal of the season for NorthEast United in the Indian Super League on Wednesday afternoon.

NorthEast United were held to a 2-2 home stalemate by Mumbai City FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.
 
Panagiotis Triadis opened the score for the home side on the 9th minute before Amine Chermiti scored two quick goals on the 22nd and 32nd minute.
 
The ex-Black Stars captain levelled the score for NorthEast United with a fine strike on the 42nd minute to end the match in a two-all draw.
 
The 34-year-old enjoyed the entire duration of the match with a scintillating performance.
 
Gyan has scored three goals in his five matches for NorthEast United in his debut season.
