Manchester United open talks to sign Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu

English Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Real Valladolid over a potential deal for Mohammed Salisu.
The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive breakthrough campaign in Valladolid's defence prior to the coronavirus-enforced shutdown, turning out 28 times for the La Liga side in all competitions.
United have been previously credited with an interest in Salisu, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are said to be stepping up their pursuit of the centre-back.
According to ESPN, the United hierarchy remain doubtful over Victor Lindelof's abilities, and the Red Devils have approached Valladolid over a deal for Salisu.
The report also claims that La Liga giants Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on developments surrounding the Ghanaian, who is widely expected to depart Valladolid this summer.
Salisu's current deal at Valladolid will run until 2022, and the defender allegedly has a £10.4m release clause.
