Stade Brest release Ghana's Derrick Osei Yaw

The Toulouse-born of Ghanaian heritage forward has been released by the French Premier Division side following an unsuccessful loan stint with lower tier side AS Beziers last term

French Lig 1 side Stade Brest have parted ways with French-born Ghanaian attacker Derrick Osei Yaw following the expiration of his long-loan deal with relegated side AS Beziers.

The 21-year-old has failed to live up to expectations with the Brest-based club since joining them from Toulouse in 2019.

Following his uninspiring league outing with Beziers last season, the lower division side have declined to make his loan deal permanent thereby sending him back to his parent club.

Derrick only made 7 league appearances with a goal to his credit in the 2019/20 National Lig 1 season.

This abymal performance has led to his release by Stade Brest despite his remaining one year contract with them.

The former Toulouse youth product market value is €250,000.00 , according to transfermarket.

Derrick is still eligible to play for Ghana at the national team level having represented the two-time World Champions at the U19 and U20 levels.
