Ghanaian defender Richard Nartey leaves Chelsea after 13 years

The talented centre-back has ended his stay with the English Premier League club after to thirteen years.
Chelsea FC have announced the departure of English-born Ghanaian defender Richard Nicos Tettey Nartey following the expiration of his contract.
The 21-year-old was not offered a new deal by the Blues lads after a season-long loan spell at English League One club Burton Albion.
He featured 29 times for Burton Albion in all competitions during his loan stint at the club but the young defender has been released by Chelsea.
Nartey was drafted into Chelsea youth team at age eight where he progressed to their U23 team.
He was born to a Ghanaian father and an English mother in London.
Nartey was a key part of Chelsea U18s treble-winning side of 2016/17 before making the step up to the Blues’ developmental squad.
He is eligible to play for either Ghana or England in future
